The Deutsche Reichspost was formed on May 4, 1871, after the fall of France and the unification of Germany in the Franco-Prussian war (1870-1871). The Deutsche Reichspost initially used stamps of the North German Confederation (First set). Then Unified Germany except for Bayern and Wurttemberg(See my other set for those). During the war came Bohemia and Moravia, and after that initially Allied and Soviet zone issued separate stamps. Now if you get mixed up with all those (one of the hardest countries to follow and collect but fascinating history :-) ) just go for the vintage to modern 50/100 mixed options !!!
